New campaign for child-appropriate medicines




6 December 2007 -- WHO today unveiled a new research and development agenda to ensure children have better access to medicines appropriate for them. The agenda, presented at the London launch of a campaign named "Make medicines child size", targets a range of medicines that need to be better tailored to children's needs.

'30 November 2007 -- Since the first World AIDS Day in 1988, progress in HIV/AIDS awareness, resource development and prevention has been remarkable. "But we have a long way yet to go, especially in Africa, and especially for women," says Director-General Dr Margaret Chan in her message for World AIDS Day this year.
